SARAH CATHERINE GUTIERREZ
Sarah Catherine is the founder of Aptus Financial. She holds a BA from Salem College, an MPP from Harvard University, and the CFP designation. She is a permanent trustee for the Donaghey foundation and the current Past President of the Rotaract Club of Little Rock. SC earned the Barbara Jordan leadership award from the Women in Public Policy Program at Harvard. She is also a graduate of Class 29 of the Leadership Greater Little Rock Program. She is passionate about financial planning for every age, stage of life, and economic situation. She founded Aptus with a clear vision: be a true fiduciary to your client, charge a fair price for professional advice, and be transparent and non-conflicted. She and her team are “advice only” advisers who focus on financial planning and investment advisory services.
Tim Quillin holds a BSBA from the University of Arizona, an MBA from the University of Iowa and the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. Tim spent 18 years at Stephens Inc. as an equity research analyst with expertise in communications technology, cyber security and defense technology. While at Stephens, Tim was recognized multiple times for his stock picking ability in the Wall Street Journal Best of the Street survey. More recently he worked as an analyst at Circumference Group, a technology-focused investment fund. Earlier in his career Tim served as a commissioned officer and explosives ordnance disposal technician in the U.S. Army.
Linda Bessette holds a BA in Literature from Rhode Island College. She has been an independent, non-conflicted financial planner for individuals and small businesses since the 1980s. She is the author of Mindful Money and the co-author of From Paycheck to Power. Linda has long felt that unbiased financial planning was critical in a world that has become inordinately complicated for both individuals and businesses. Independent advice from a fiduciary for a clear fee is at the heart of Aptus Financial. Linda shares this vision, is delighted to be a part of the team, and brings decades of experience to Aptus.
Mario Montenegro holds a BS in Finance from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and is currently working on his CFP designation. He is the winner of the 2016 Donald W Reynolds Governor’s Cup for business innovation. Mario joined Aptus because it was a perfect fit for him – he wanted to provide sound, non-conflicted planning and investment advice for a fair price and without eroding his client’s assets. He is enthusiastic about educating the community in money management and is creative and innovative in his approach.
Andy has a PhD in Finance and a Masters in Economics from the University of Michigan. He is also a CFA. He is a financial consultant and a Professor of Finance at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Prior to moving to academia he was with Peat Marwick (now KPMG). He is delighted to be associated with Aptus Financial and shares its philosophy and focus on independent financial planning.
