Sarah Catherine is the founder of Aptus Financial. She holds a BA from Salem College, an MPP from Harvard University, and the Certified Financial Planner designation. She is a permanent trustee for the Donaghey foundation and the current Past President of the Rotaract Club of Little Rock. SC earned the Barbara Jordan leadership award from the Women in Public Policy Program at Harvard. She is also a graduate of Class 29 of the Leadership Greater Little Rock Program. She is passionate about financial planning for every age, stage of life, and economic situation. She founded Aptus with a clear vision: be a true fiduciary to your client, charge a fair price for professional advice, and be transparent and non-conflicted.

Mario Montenegro

Mario holds a BS in Finance from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and is currently working on his CFP designation. He is the winner of the 2016 Donald W Reynolds Governor’s Cup for business innovation. Mario joined Aptus because it was a perfect fit for him – he wanted to provide sound, non-conflicted planning and investment advice for a fair price and without eroding his client’s assets. He is enthusiastic about educating the community in money management and is creative and innovative in his approach. 


Tim Quillin is a partner at Aptus Financial. He holds a BSBA from the University of Arizona, an MBA from the University of Iowa, and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Tim joined Aptus to change the world of financial advice and help modernize employer retirement plans. He has a strong background in investments, an intense intellectual curiosity and a desire to continually refine and improve Aptus' financial planning processes. Prior to Aptus, Tim spent 20 years as an investment analyst at Salomon Brothers, Stephens Inc. and Circumference Group. Earlier in his career Tim served as a commissioned officer and explosives ordnance disposal technician in the U.S. Army.


Matt is a Senior Vice President, lead financial planner and retirement plan advisor at Aptus Financial. He holds a BSBA from the University of Arkansas and the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. Matt joined Aptus because he shares the firm's commitment to providing honest, unbiased financial advice at a simple, fair hourly rate. Matt is also advancing Aptus' efforts to modernize employer retirement plans and enhance corporate financial wellness programs. Prior to joining Aptus, Matt spent 18 years as an investment analyst at Stephens Inc., developing expertise in many areas of finance and forming long-lasting relationships with clients. Matt serves on the Foundation Board at Positive Atmosphere Reaches Kids (P.A.R.K).


Linda holds a BA from Rhode Island College. Linda has been an independent, non-conflicted financial planner for individuals and small businesses since the 1980s. She is the author of Mindful Money and the co-author of From Paycheck to Power. Linda has long felt that unbiased financial planning was critical in a world that has become inordinately complicated for both individuals and businesses. Independent advice from a fiduciary for a clear and fair fee is at the heart of Aptus Financial. Linda shares this vision, is delighted to be a part of the team, and brings decades of experience to Aptus.
